IEEE Signal Processing Society Xi'an Chapter (Xi'an SPS Chapter) was founded on Jun. 19, 2007. Prof. HUANG Jianguo from Northwestern Polytechnical University serves as Chair of The SPS Chapter, Prof. LIU Hongwei from Xidian University and CHEN Jianfeng from Northwestern Polytechnical University serve as Vice-Chairs, Asso. Prof. HE Chengbing from Northwestern Polytechnical University serves as secretary. Currently, The SPS Chapter has 107 members, mainly from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xidian University and Northwestern Polytechnical University.
The SPS Chapter aims to advance and disseminate state-of-the-art scientific information and resources, and provide a venue for people to interact and exchange ideas in Xi'an Section. The SPS Chapter has received the Award of Excellent SPS Chapter of IEEE Xi'an Section from IEEE Signal Processing Society in 2013.
The SPS Chapter has organized several conferences every year, focusing on the innova-tions shaping the future of signal processing and the future of our world. These conferences include "IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing, Communications and Comput-ing (ICSPCC)", "2013 IEEE Region 10 Conference (TENCON)", "2016 IEEE ICASSP-Work-shop on Sensor Array and Communication (WSAC)" and "International Workshop on Mathe-matical Issues in Information Sciences (MIIS)".
