       IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Xi'an Chapter (CIS Xi'an Chapter) was funded in Mar. 2008. Prof. JIAO Licheng from Xidian University serves as Chair of the CIS Chapter. The Chapter focuses on the theory, design, application, and development of biologically and linguistically motivated computational paradigms emphasizing neural networks, connectionist systems, genetic algorithms, evolutionary programming, fuzzy systems, and hybrid intelligent systems in which these paradigms are contained. The Chapter has organized several professional events such as "Nature Inspired Computation and its Applications International Workshop".
